The David and Ellen Lee Family Foundation and the Microeletronics Technology Inc. have donated U.S. $5,500,000 to National Chiao Tung University to establish the Lee and MTI Center for Networking Research.

The Center will focus its researches on networking technologies and new applications. Because of the rapid advances in this area, the following selected research topics are only tentative. The research topics and/or budget will be adjusted as years go by to reflect the most up-to-date research tread and status. Currently, five research groups are formed for developing enabling technologies for advanced networking and communication systems.
